At Nilah, it’s perfectly fine to take a little longer to decide. The menu features an international selection and offers plenty of choice, so that even those with very different tastes can find something to suit them all.
We’ll start, for example, with tuna tataki with wakame, monkfish carpaccio with a citrus vinaigrette, homemade oxtail croquettes or scallops.
There are also salads and soups, as well as a range of pasta dishes. The main courses range from sole, salmon and cod to bouillabaisse, lamb, fillet of beef and duck.
The cuisine offers more than just a wide selection. The dishes are carefully prepared, beautifully presented – and, above all, delicious.

Fish lovers should take a look at the Lenguado . The sole fillets with beurre blanc are a permanent fixture on the Nilah menu.
Serve with courgettes and creamy mashed potatoes: a combination that doesn’t overwhelm the delicate flavour of the fish with too many other flavours.
The service is on a par with the excellent food. The team are friendly and attentive, whilst being pleasantly relaxed and good-humoured.
No stiff formality, but an atmosphere where you’d be happy to linger a little longer.
It’s the perfect sort of restaurant; it’s just as suitable for lunch as it is for a long evening with friends.
The selection of drinks is impressive. Wine lovers are spoilt for choice, whilst there’s no shortage of cocktails either. Those who prefer not to drink alcohol will also find mocktails on offer.

Passion fruit and vanilla meet vodka and egg yolk. The egg yolk gives it its distinctive creaminess, whilst the passion fruit provides the fruity flavour. A lovely cocktail and a great alternative for anyone who fancies something other than wine with their meal or afterwards.
On the other hand, those who prefer their cocktails dry and tart should try the other varieties.
Feeling full? One look at the desserts might make you think again. After all, following a meal of fish, pasta or meat, it’s perfectly fine to treat yourself to something sweet – and not just the obligatory coffee to round things off.
The dessert menu makes it easy to linger a little longer into the evening. Sometimes chocolatey, sometimes fruity, sometimes creamy: this isn’t just about ticking off one last course, but about that part of the meal for which, surprisingly enough, there’s almost always still room.
And if nothing else works: sharing is always an option, after all.
The restaurant is situated on Avenida del Puerto, directly opposite Altea’s Club Náutico. Despite the road right outside the door, the terrace offers a pleasantly sheltered spot. Plants surrounding the outdoor area help to keep the traffic in the background. The décor is modern and well-maintained – a nice bonus, but not the main reason for recommending this restaurant. The restaurant itself also confirms its location on the Paseo Marítimo, opposite the marina.
