3 July to 12 July – Patron Saint’s Day: Festa Major de Dénia. Town centre, harbour, Calle La Vía, Torrecremada and other locations, Dénia.
Dénia celebrates its Festa Major with over 60 events. These include Bous a la Mar at the harbour, children’s activities, concerts, Tardeos, Habaneras, a rock night, a fireworks display and the parade of floats. La Vila celebrates its Moors and Christians festival in honour of Santa Marta. The main events take place around 27 and 28 July, featuring the Alijo, Embajadas, Desembarco and Reconquista. The festival commemorates the attack of 1538 and combines the town’s history, the coast, Filaes, music and ceremonies on the beach.

18 June to Wednesday 24 June – City Festival: Les Fogueres de Sant Joan. City centre, Plaza de los Luceros, Rambla, City Hall and neighbourhoods, Alicante.
Alicante celebrates its Fogueres de Sant Joan with monuments in the neighbourhoods, barracas, racós, music, parades, the Ofrenda, mascletàs and the Cremà. The mascletà takes place daily at 2 pm in the Plaza de los Luceros. On 20 June, the Fogueres, Barracas and decorated streets will be set up. The Ofrenda de Flores follows on 21 and 22 June. On 24 June, the programme includes the mass, the final Mascletà, the Palmera from Monte Benacantil and, afterwards, the Cremà. From 25 to 29 June, the fireworks competition continues on Cocó Beach. In the city centre, you can expect road closures, heavy traffic and limited parking.
