Our editorial mission
Costa Blanca Magazine covers news, places, society, property, transport, health, food, events and everyday life on the Costa Blanca. The publication is aimed at international residents, property owners, entrepreneurs and long-term visitors. Regional developments are explained clearly and placed within the legal, administrative and social context that is relevant to life in Spain.
Editorial independence
The editorial team decides on the selection of topics, their weighting, presentation and publication in accordance with journalistic criteria. Advertising bookings, collaborations and commercial relationships do not confer any right to editorial coverage, a favourable assessment or the omission of critical reporting. Editorial and commercial content are kept clearly separate.
Research, sources and due diligence
Statements of fact are checked prior to publication with the level of journalistic rigour required by the circumstances. For regional and official matters, priority is given to publications by the Generalitat Valenciana, the provincial councils, the local councils, state bodies and other competent institutions. Spanish primary sources and regional media form the basis; reputable international sources may also be used to supplement them. Unconfirmed information, forecasts and value judgements are identified as such.
Multilingual publications
Costa Blanca Magazine publishes content in several languages. Translations are intended to accurately reproduce the content, tone and legal meaning of the original version. In the event of differences in wording or legal interpretation, the source version approved by the editorial team shall prevail. Automated translations are reviewed by the editorial team prior to publication.
News, analysis and opinion
News reports, analyses, commentaries and other opinion-based formats are clearly distinguished from one another. When dealing with controversial topics, the main relevant viewpoints are given appropriate consideration. Documented facts and demonstrably false claims are not treated as equivalent viewpoints.
Corrections and updates
Incorrect or materially misleading factual statements are corrected promptly once they come to light and have been reviewed. Online articles may be updated or supplemented when the facts or legal situation change. Significant revisions may be marked with an update date or an editorial note. Notices regarding possible errors, necessary updates or other editorial matters may be sent to the editorial contact named in the legal notice or on the contact page.
Personal rights, quotations and the protection of affected persons
The personal rights, image rights and legitimate interests of the individuals concerned are respected. Quotations are reproduced in a manner that reflects their meaning and context. Suspicions and accusations are not presented as proven facts. Higher standards of protection apply to minors, victims, relatives and particularly vulnerable individuals.
Advertising, PR and commercial content
Paid articles, advertorials, company profiles and other commercial publications are clearly labelled. Advertisers have no influence over independent editorial decisions. Statements that are obviously misleading, unsubstantiated or unlawful are not included, even in commercial content.
Images and audiovisual content
Visual and audiovisual content must not create a false documentary context. Stock images, photomontages and digitally edited representations are labelled where necessary to avoid misleading readers. Copyright, licensing and usage rights are checked on the basis of the information available.

Mediagroup Balear S.L. may use AI-supported systems as auxiliary working tools. This may include the evaluation and structuring of information, working drafts, language editing and translation.
