Spain triumphs at Euro 2024: jubilation on the Costa Blanca

Spain has done it! With an impressive 2:1 victory over England in the final of Euro 2024, the Spanish national team has once again confirmed its place at the top of European football. The whole country rejoiced, and the joy on the Costa Blanca was particularly exuberant.

An emotional finale in Berlin

The final in Berlin was a thrilling battle between the giants. Spain took the lead in the 47th minute, but England equalised. At the end of the second half, La Furia Roja managed to secure victory with a masterful goal. Coach Luis de la Fuente could hardly hide his emotions when the final whistle blew and the Spanish fans in the stadiums and in front of the screens at home erupted in jubilation.

As soon as the final whistle blew, an exuberant celebration began on the Costa Blanca that lasted all night. In cities such as Alicante, Denia, Calape, Benidorm and Benissa, the streets were transformed into a sea of red and yellow flags and cheering crowds.

Public viewings as the centrepiece of the celebration

The numerous public viewings along the Costa Blanca were a particular highlight. Thousands of fans gathered in large parks, central squares and even on the beaches to watch the game together. Huge screens and great events provided the fans with an unforgettable atmosphere. Especially on the beach in Alicante, people crowded together to experience the excitement of the game and the victory.

A night full of joy and community

The night of victory turned into a celebration full of joy. Spontaneous parties were organised everywhere, cars drove through the streets honking their horns and fireworks lit up the sky. Restaurants and bars were filled to the brim and the atmosphere was exuberant. Music, dancing and singing accompanied the revellers until the early hours of the morning.

Today, 15 July, the Spanish national team is expected back in Madrid to celebrate the triumph with thousands of fans and supporters!

The schedule for the European Championship party this Monday: 2.10pm - Landing of the national team in Barajas. 18.30 - Reception by King Felipe VI for the national team in La Zarzuela. 19.30 - Reception by President Pedro Sánchez in La Moncloa. From Moncloa, the national team will parade through the streets of Madrid to the Palacio de Comunicaciones, where from 8.00pm there will be a big party for the fans with music and entertainment by a DJ, before the bus arrives at 9.15pm, where the fans will have a party with Ibai Llanos and Saúl Ramos as master of ceremonies.
