Black Friday 2025 Costa Blanca: dates & shopping tips

Black Friday and Cyber Monday on the Costa Blanca 2025: an overview of promotions, Sunday openings in tourist areas and tips for residents.

Black Friday on the Costa Blanca: the start of a week full of offers

Discounts, early promotions and legally authorised Sunday openings in the tourist zones - this is how the coast begins its unofficial shopping season.

The Black Friday weekend marks the beginning of the phase on the Costa Blanca in which many retailers bundle their promotions: Discounts start earlier, run longer - and the legally permitted Sunday openings in designated tourist zones create additional leeway for everyone who lives here. As in the rest of Spain, the official start falls on Friday, the 28 November 2025 with the „BLACK-FRIDAY“ . But the discount season is no longer limited to this one day.
Many chains and electronics stores start offering „Black Week“ prices the week before, while smaller shops in Altea, Jávea, Dénia, Benidorm or Alicante set their own priorities - sometimes as a weekend promotion, sometimes as a specific product range theme.

What actually applies on the Costa Blanca?
The Comunidad Valenciana does not have any generalised Sundays open for Advent sales. Instead, a combined model applies:
Tourism zones („Zonas de Gran Afluencia Turística“) - including Alicante, Benidorm, Torrevieja, Orihuela Costa, parts of Dénia - may open on Sundays and public holidays between 15 June and 5 January.
For the Black Friday period, this means that retailers are allowed to open if they are in such a zone.

For cities without special zones, the regular state regulations apply with only a few authorised Sundays per year. Many smaller towns therefore rely on extended weekday promotions rather than additional opening days.

Where is it particularly worth taking a look?
Alicante, Finestrat/Benidorm, Torrevieja, Ondara (Portal de la Marina) and Orihuela Costa have traditionally been centres for technology and fashion.

In addition to large stores such as Carrefour, Mediamarkt, Worten and El Corte Inglés, many local shops are also taking part, scoring points with service, short distances and targeted advice.

This has an advantage for residents:
You can plan your shopping better - either during the week or, depending on the municipality, also on Sundays.

Cyber Monday: The online closing point

On Cyber Monday follows on 1 December 2025. It is traditionally aimed more at technology and electronics fans,

but the boundaries are blurred: Many retailers simply run their price promotions.

The mix is interesting:
While bricks-and-mortar retailers make the most of the crowds, Spanish online shops also remain particularly active on Cyber Monday. Those who shy away from the crowds will switch here at the latest.

Practical tips for residents

  • Watch prices early: Many retailers start as early as mid-November.
  • Check tourism zones: Not every municipality has the same Sunday rules.
  • Involve local shops: Service quality and return periods differ significantly.
  • Prepare technology lists: Discounts are high, but not always at their best on Black Friday day itself.

And afterwards?
„The only question that often remains is what you're happier about: a good offer - or simply having found it.“
