Experience the Costa Blanca actively - sport & nature in autumn

Die Costa Blanca sportlich – Aktiv zwischen Bergen und Meer

Cycling, hiking, tennis, golf & pelota: discover the Costa Blanca in autumn with its mild climate, sports facilities and Mediterranean landscape.

When the autumn wind starts to blow on the coasts of northern Europe, it's the best time to lace up your sports shoes on the Costa Blanca. Autumn and winter are not dull seasons here: pleasant temperatures between 18 and 24 degrees, over 300 days of sunshine a year and a light that makes the mountains, sea and cities appear in vibrant colours. While elsewhere training is moved indoors, life on Spain's white coast continues to take place outdoors.

The region offers ideal conditions for almost every discipline. Kilometres of cycle routes, challenging hiking trails, modern tennis and padel facilities, golf courses surrounded by Mediterranean countryside - and last but not least the „Ciudad del Deporte“ in La Nucía, a sports centre that sets standards. It's no wonder that international cycling teams prepare for the season here every year, that golfers from all over the world play their rounds and that tennis and padel clubs are experiencing a boom.
At the same time, the heart of tradition beats in many places:

In Benidorm/Albir, the Pilota Valenciana is still played in the large Trinquet hall, a centuries-old sport that is as much a part of the culture as fiestas and gastronomy. The diversity is evident: high-tech facilities and ancient rules, professional and popular sports, modern trends such as padel and down-to-earth street games - everything has its place here.

Looking at the Costa Blanca from a sporting perspective also means taking a look at the soul of the region. Because when you get moving, you experience the landscape, culture and community with all your senses. Whether on a bike, on foot, with a racket or a ball.... It is part of the quality of life, it connects people and makes the region a place where activity and well-being go hand in hand. In the end, it's not about setting records, but about the good feeling of being outdoors and actively enjoying the region.
What does that mean in concrete terms? From hiking trails and cycle routes to tennis, padel and pelota - the following articles provide an overview.
