Ca Aleix Xàbia - Mediterranean cuisine, art & hospitality

Ca Aleix in Xàbia: Mediterranean cuisine with regional products, open kitchen and personalised service in the middle of an artistic garden.

As soon as you arrive at Ca Aleix, it becomes clear that this is not about staging, but about being genuinely welcome. The reception is warm, attentive, unobtrusive - and yet so personalised that you immediately feel cared for. This warmth permeates the entire visit: from the first greeting to the last glass of wine.

The restaurant is located just outside Xàbia, nestled in a green oasis of sculptures, trees and light. It is part of an extraordinary project in which art, nature and gastronomy merge. The iron sculptor Toni Marí has left his mark on this place with his monumental works - between palm trees and watercourses, this creates an ambience that is both modern and earthy at the same time.

Kitchen with character
The menu at Ca Aleix is a declaration of love to the region. Seasonal produce, carefully selected, takes centre stage - without frills, but with flavour and depth. The rice dishes in particular are little masterpieces: whether creamy with pumpkin and prawns, with truffle and Iberian meat or in the fideuà version with figatells and chickpeas. Each dish is precisely flavoured, aromatic and yet light - Mediterranean cuisine in a nutshell. The restaurant is also famous for its cocas, the traditional pastries of the Marina Alta. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, topped with vegetables, goat's cheese, fish or fine meat or sausage varieties - a speciality that delights critics and guests alike. Here you can taste how well craftsmanship, experience and regional ingredients go together.

Insight into the kitchen
The open-plan kitchen is particularly charming. It allows guests to watch the kitchen team at work - preparing, flavouring and composing. This transparency emphasises the restaurant's claim to be honest and approachable at all levels.

Handmade and seasonal
What characterises the cuisine is its authenticity. Everything is fresh, much of it comes from the immediate neighbourhood: vegetables from the market, fish from the coastal towns, meat from regional farms. Even the desserts are regularly recreated and are an integral part of the experience - not a standardised finale, but handcrafted compositions that never fail to surprise.

A place to arrive
At Ca Aleix, service is not seen as a duty, but as part of the experience. The team is attentive, friendly and perfectly harmonised - you can tell that people work here who enjoy giving their guests a good time. Every visit can be enjoyed on the terrace with space for around a hundred people or in the elegant interior with 45 seats, whether it's lunch in the sunshine or dinner under fairy lights. The wine selection matches the cuisine, which deliberately favours regional producers and is complemented by classics from the DO regions of Valencia, Ribera del Duero and Rioja.

Ca Aleix is not a place you simply visit - it's a place you experience. And one that you love to return to.
