The Moors and Christians 2024 celebrations in Dénia are just around the corner and will bring with them some new features. The presentation of the festivities, which will take place from 3 to 16 August, was attended by the Councillor for Festivities, the Deputy Mayor, the President of the FEMMICC and the Moorish and Christian captains.
This year, the fireworks will take place on Thursday 15 August at midnight. In addition, the Fog Miracle and the Battle of the Arquebusiers will be celebrated together on Friday 16 August at 9:30 am to counteract the heat and congestion.
This year's poster caller from the Marins Corsaris phalanx was „excited and proud“. The winner of the poster competition explained that her work shows the battle between Islam and Christianity and depicts the Torre del Jarro.
