Det er her n\u00edsperos vokser, ris dyrkes og druer t\u00f8rker til sultanas. I begge regionene er landbruket ikke bare en kilde til n\u00e6ring, men en identitet - og det er nettopp denne hverdagen som gj\u00f8r det s\u00e5 spesielt.<\/p><p><strong>Gylne frukter fra Callosa<\/strong><br \/>Marina Baixa er f\u00f8destedet til en frukt som for lengst har blitt en eksportstjerne: n\u00edspero. Millioner av disse sm\u00e5, oransjefargede fruktene modnes hver v\u00e5r i Callosa d'en Sarri\u00e0. Det som tidligere var en lokal spesialitet, er i dag et internasjonalt ettertraktet produkt, organisert av kooperativet Ruchey, som knytter b\u00f8nder og markeder sammen.<\/p><p><strong>Ris fra Marjal de Pego<\/strong><br \/>Noen kilometer lenger nord, i Marina Alta, er en gammel tradisjon i ferd med \u00e5 gjenoppst\u00e5: dyrking av Arroz Bomb\u00f3n i naturparken Marjal de Pego-Oliva. Sorten var en gang nesten forsvunnet, men takket v\u00e6re prosjekter som Pego Natura har den f\u00e5tt et comeback. Tidligere var t\u00f8rkede Moscatel-druer en viktig industri. I dag er riuraus, de tradisjonelle t\u00f8rkebygningene, et minne om denne epoken. P\u00e5 steder som Jes\u00fas Pobre lever tradisjonen videre p\u00e5 \u201eMercat del Riurau\u201c (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mercatdelriurau.org\/mercat-del-riurau\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/www.mercatdelriurau.org\/mercat-del-riurau\/<\/a>) hver s\u00f8ndag - mellom markedsboder, kulturprogram og lukten av druer.<\/p><p><strong>Sitrusfrukter og mandler<\/strong><br \/>De endel\u00f8se sitrusplantasjene og mandellundene er ul\u00f8selig knyttet til begge regionene. De preger ikke bare landskapet, men ogs\u00e5 mange spesialiteter - fra fersk appelsinjuice til s\u00f8t turr\u00f3n, som mandler er uunnv\u00e6rlige for \u00e5 lage.<br \/>Landbruket i Marina Alta og Marina Baixa er derfor mye mer enn bare forsyning.
