La ville a chang\u00e9, s'est modernis\u00e9e, s'est densifi\u00e9e \u2013 tout en conservant son identit\u00e9 propre. Entre la vieille ville, les lotissements, la mer et les montagnes, la vie y bat son plein toute l'ann\u00e9e : vari\u00e9e, pragmatique et \u00e9tonnamment bien organis\u00e9e.<\/p><p><strong>Marqu\u00e9 par la mer<\/strong><br \/>Le Pe\u00f1\u00f3n de Ifach \u00e9tait d\u00e9j\u00e0 l\u00e0 bien avant la fondation de la ville. Ces 332 m\u00e8tres de calcaire qui s'\u00e9l\u00e8vent au-dessus de la mer constituent aujourd'hui un parc naturel et l'embl\u00e8me de tout ce littoral. C'est autour de lui que Calpe s'est d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e : d'abord un petit village de p\u00eacheurs, puis un lieu d\u00e9di\u00e9 \u00e0 la production de sel et \u00e0 l'agriculture, avant de devenir une commune en pleine expansion face \u00e0 la mer.<\/p><p>Les Ba\u00f1os de la Reina t\u00e9moignent de l'histoire romaine, tandis que les salines sont le fruit de si\u00e8cles de travail. Avec l'essor des ann\u00e9es 1960, Calpe a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 changer \u2013 petit \u00e0 petit, et non du jour au lendemain.<\/p><p><strong>Vieille ville avec vue sur le rocher<\/strong><br \/>La vieille ville est situ\u00e9e sur une colline surplombant la mer, face au rocher. De l\u00e0, on aper\u00e7oit le Pe\u00f1\u00f3n, le bassin du port et les plages. Les ruelles sont \u00e9troites et pav\u00e9es, orn\u00e9es de fa\u00e7ades blanches et de carreaux color\u00e9s ; les habitants sont un m\u00e9lange d'anciens r\u00e9sidents et de nouveaux arrivants.<br \/>C'est ici que se d\u00e9roule encore la vie quotidienne : des petites boutiques, des ateliers, des bars qui ferment \u00e0 midi et rouvrent le soir \u2013 sans aucune mise en sc\u00e8ne touristique.<\/p><p><strong>Un quartier r\u00e9sidentiel aux multiples facettes<\/strong><br \/>D'innombrables lotissements entourent la ville : Maryvilla, Cometa, La Canuta, Empedrola. Ils constituent la partie moderne de Calpe : des quartiers r\u00e9sidentiels o\u00f9 vivent des familles, des artisans, des r\u00e9sidents permanents et des hivernants.<br \/>De nombreux quartiers sont anim\u00e9s toute l'ann\u00e9e. \u00c9coles, centres de sant\u00e9, supermarch\u00e9s, petits commerces : tout y est. Calpe n'est pas une station baln\u00e9aire, mais une ville qui vit au quotidien.<\/p><p><strong>Sel, flamants roses et vie urbaine<\/strong><br \/>Au c\u0153ur de Calpe se trouve un coin de nature : les Salinas de Calpe, une zone humide prot\u00e9g\u00e9e o\u00f9 vivent des flamants roses, des h\u00e9rons et des canards. Ce lac sal\u00e9 rappelle les origines de la ville et illustre \u00e0 quel point la ville et la nature y sont \u00e9troitement li\u00e9es.<br \/>Les plages d'Arenal-Bol et de La Fossa sont bien plus que de simples stations baln\u00e9aires : elles font partie int\u00e9grante de la vie quotidienne.
