Anyone travelling between D\u00e9nia and Villajoyosa today can see the change not only on the rooftops, but also on the roads. The region is working to rethink transport \u2013 making it quieter, cleaner and more communal.
In Benidorm, Altea and La Vila Joiosa, mobility concepts are being developed that integrate electric mobility and public transport more closely into 10
regularly participates as a model municipality in European Mobility Week (Semana de la Movilidad) and has launched several low-emission transport projects in recent years \u2013 from new electric buses to expanded cycle paths. Public transport remains free for young passengers under the age of 30 \u2013 an incentive to leave the car at home.<\/p>

The infrastructure is also growing: numerous new charging stations for electric vehicles have been installed along the coastal towns in recent years \u2013 many of them in car parks or at public buildings. Municipalities such as Calpe, Benissa and D\u00e9nia are increasingly connecting their charging zones to solar power systems so that energy is generated and used locally. At the same time, the cycle path network is being continuously expanded: a new coastal cycle path is currently being built between Altea and L'Alf\u00e0s del Pi, which is due to be completed in the coming years.<\/p>

Mobility has long been part of energy and climate policy here. Several local authorities are integrating e-sharing systems into their sustainability plans \u2013<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

from e-scooters and car sharing to electric delivery services. In Villajoyosa, a new park-and-ride facility was opened in the spring to keep commuter traffic out of the old town and create emission-free zones.
The population is also getting on board: according to recent surveys by the Generalitat Valenciana, interest in electric and hybrid vehicles is growing steadily. More and more households in the region are considering making the switch \u2013 not out of necessity, but out of conviction. At the same time, small neighbourhood initiatives are springing up to share journeys and reduce costs \u2013 mobility as a community project.<\/p>

Many ideas are still in development, but the interplay between energy, urban planning and behaviour is having an effect: less traffic congestion in city centres, cleaner air and a better quality of life. Mobility is once again becoming part of a liveable environment \u2013 not just a means to an end.
From agriculture to water and energy to transport \u2013 sustainability is no longer just lip service on the Costa Blanca. Between D\u00e9nia and Villajoyosa, a new self-image is emerging: regional thinking, practical implementation and a forward-looking approach. Here, it is not grand words or campaigns that make the difference, but many small decisions in everyday life \u2013 in the fields, in the town hall, in the household. Step by step, a lifestyle is emerging that shows that responsibility does not have to hurt, but can feel really good.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
