It regulates when a person is officially considered to be in need of care, how they are categorised and what benefits they can receive as a result. However, this does not apply as a rule.<\/p><h3><strong>Which requirements apply<\/strong><\/h3><p>To access the system, it is not enough to simply live on the Costa Blanca. Officially, the procedure basically requires a stay in Spain of <strong>five years<\/strong>, of which <strong>two years immediately prior to application<\/strong>. In addition, the <strong>Empadronamiento detection<\/strong> plays a central role. For foreign applicants, the requirements of Spanish immigration law and existing international agreements also apply.<\/p><h3><strong>What services are provided<\/strong><\/h3><p>The Comunitat Valenciana distinguishes between specific services and financial benefits. This primarily includes home help, teleassistance and, depending on the case, connection to a day centre. Personal assistance or care in the family environment can also be part of the approved services.<\/p><h3><strong>When home care is no longer enough<\/strong><\/h3><p>If support at home is no longer sufficient, day centres, assisted living or inpatient facilities can be considered. The Generalitat provides, among other things <strong>Atenci\u00f3n residencial<\/strong>, <strong>Residencias<\/strong> and certain <strong>centros de car\u00e1cter convivencial<\/strong>. There are places in the public system as well as private facilities for elderly people in need of care in the province of Alicante.<\/p><p>It is important to note that a recognised care level does not mean that a place is immediately available. Time can pass between categorisation, assistance plan and actual allocation.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e38683c e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"e38683c\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0ecc628 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"0ecc628\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h3><strong>Cash benefits instead of service<\/strong><\/h3><p>The system not only provides for specific services. Cash benefits are also possible, for example for personal assistance, for care in the family environment or as a benefit linked to a service.
