The first port of call is the relevant health centre in your place of residence - whether in D\u00e9nia, J\u00e1vea, Benidorm, Torrevieja or Orihuela Costa. There, as a rule, a <em>matrona<\/em> (midwife) coordinates the pregnancy, creates the \u201ecartilla de embarazo\u201c and plans the further appointments.<\/p><p>Privately insured persons can also freely choose specialists or select a specific clinic for the delivery.
