On this easy tour (duration: approx. 1 hour), several traditional sweet businesses open their doors - a journey through Villajoyosa's sweet history, which dates back to the 19th century.<\/p><p>In addition to Chocolates Valor, which has been the city's best-known brand since 1881, the route leads to other family businesses that are still in operation today. Chocolates Clavile\u00f1o, for example, founded in 1882, is now run by the great-grandchildren of the founder - the brand became famous in the 1960s thanks to the emblem of the flying horse from Don Quixote. Those who prefer to try something other than cocoa will find their happiness at Turrones Carremi: the family has been producing its nougat according to almost unchanged recipes since 1835, still using traditional handcrafting methods to this day.<\/p><p>The route not only takes you to small factories and shops, but also to collections and chocolateries that preserve the spirit of old craftsmanship with nostalgic charm.
